alirghty... bought the Canon G10 after went frantically around the camera shops in town....

definitely more impressed with G10, but now, there's a problem..... i am tempted by the Canon EOS 450D!

i know, i know... i said multiple times that i wasn't interested in the SLR yet... but i was actually quite impressed by the reviews online and the photos produced..... but it is really $$$$

so, i just comforted myself by saying that i am not up to that standard yet... so G10 is a good learning camera before i move to the next step..... and i might get the EOS450D then... or if its next generation which is better.... but it is never definite that the next generation would be a better camera...

anyway.. gotta start exploring my new toy!!!!

so any websites to recommend on how to take good photographs or use these cameras to its full potential???

ok... canon powershot g10 and canon powershot sx110 caught my eyes on the online reviews.....

i know it is a bit comparing apple to orange.... but if it is a upgrade from compact camera to something better, which one would be a better upgrade?

for both, i probably need to learn a bit more about photograohy, but i think i can learn a bit of it....

i still think i am not ready for total upgrade to dslr...

so guys, come on... give me a bit opinion....canon powershot g10 or canon powershot sx110???

just wonder if any of you who is reading my lj can give me some suggestions on camera....

currently, i am using a very old model of camera.... lol... probaly 5 years old... i mean i like the camera and it has taken lots of photos for me, but i feel it's time for upgrade... but to what extent?

i am keen on moving from compact caemera to slr.. but i just don't know cameras well enough to use a slr and it seems so complicated.. multiple buttons with multiple things needed to do before getting a nice picture...and also, it's quite builky too...

but it seems quite difficult to take sharps pictures with the normal compact cameras.... and i can't decide which compact cameras to buy.. i like the canons coz they tend to give a "red" colour shade as compare to other brands.. but the latest ixus 880 is a bit of disappointment with photo results that were produced.. i saw the photos from dcrp and they turn out lousier than the ixus 860, which has been continued in some countries, such as australia...

otherwise, any of you can suggest a canon slr-similar type of camera which is simple to use? what do i need for a slr camera? or is there something in between compact and slr type?

any of you own a polaroid cameras? i mean the one600 series cameras?

i always interested in getting one and lately i realise that they stopping the production of it in the U.S.

so does that mean they will stop the production of the films for it as well?

and also, how long can the photos taken by the polaroid instant cameras last for? somehow, i have an impression that they can't last very long and eventually they will fade away... but just how quickly they will fade off? any ways to preserve them??

i am wondering, if i should get microsoft office for mac, or iwork?

well, the thing is i will be dealing with word and powerpoint documents on pc, and i heard that iwork files are compatible with microsoft office on pc. but to wat extend? anyone can offer any opinions? and also, will the iwork files , in terms of word and powerpoint files, work on older version of microsoft office, such as xp or word 98?

if it will be compatible, then i wil get iwork instead of microsoft office for mac 2008. office for mac is quite expensive, and it is cheaper to get the iwork.

please give me ur expert advices...

and also, anyone heard any rumors about ipods? thinking of getting one as well, but not sure if it is a good timing?

calling all apple fans/users!!!

should i get a macbook pro now?

currently i have a imac 20" running tiger and sitting my bedroom, not doing anything and collecting dust only. selling it on ebay currently.

and i mostly use my powerbook 12" G4 running jaguar, but quite a lot of the program are not compatible with my ipods and it doesn't have a isight with it, which i tend to use it to cam with my family.

my question is:

is now a good time to buy the macbook pro? or is something new going to come up? thinking of getting one now.. but not sure if i am being a big spender...

it would be great if you guys can give me some opinion.
